YOUTH CONVENTION 2021 - Methodist Diocese of Ikorodu

Specially inviting you to  the Diocese of Ikorodu Youth (DIY) Convention 2021. Which will hold by the grace  of God from Thursday 2nd - Sunday 5th September, 2021

There are loads of developmental programs outlined to role out during the special annual gathering of Christian youths (Methodist and others) in the Diocese of Ikorodu as Oke-Eletu Circuit hosts.

This year, the Diocesan Youth Fellowship Executive body led by the President -Bro. Olugbenga Micheal Sarumi, and the Coordinator- Evang. Adesola Femi-Dagunro gives attention to the younger generation of the Youth fellowship, the teenagers. Hereby ensuring that both Circuit and Local Churches youth executives carry along and involve the teenagers in the activities of the fellowship. And especially in preparations for the forth coming Diocesan Youth Convention which will feature: Spirituality nurturing and individual development events.

Some of our programmes include the following:

*    Seminars & Lectures Session: 

    ·    Prayer & Spiritual Growth

    ·    Soft Skills/Entrepreneurship

    ·    Relationship

*    Bishop's Cup Competitions

    ·    Bible Quiz (Books of Esther & Ephesians) by (2) secondary school participants

    ·    3-5 Minutes Drama Skit (Conference Theme: “Watch and Pray”)

    ·    Essay Writing & Presentation (“The Christian Youth in a Dynamic Society”) by an   undergraduate or Jambite (Duration for Presentation: 5Minutes)

    ·    Music Competitions. Each Circuit/Special Area will perform three items:
    (a) MHB 573 Tune: Marylebone 8.8.8.8.8.8.  (Additional Tunes No. 32)
    (b) MHB 484 Tune: From Strength to Strength. (DSM)  - Please find both hymns Media files at post tail.
    (c) and any other musical composition on the theme ‘Watch and Pray’ (any genre)

We trust God that all activities planned will fulfil purpose of glorifying Him, the development and growth of His children, the church and more importantly win and retain souls for His kingdom.
