PRAYER BULLETIN

(2nd - 8th January, 2020)

The year 2020 kicked off first with New Year Service across the conference area.

And members of Methodist Church Nigeria commenced into her PRAYER & FASTING WEEK from Thursday, 2nd of January, 2020 - Wednesday, 8th January, 2020.

Although, the Programme will come to a close on Thursday 9th January, as stated in the National Methodist Youth Fellowship programmes 2020 which could be as a result of the fact that some persons take Sundays off fasting days, hence the extra one day.

Nonetheless, the prayer of the righteous availeth much, so says the scripture.

Methodists as well other denominations in fellowship are encouraged to fervently seek the face of God as we fast and pray: 

The MCN Fasting and Prayer Week Bulletin points that we:

APPRECIATE GOD, ACKNOWLEDGE HIM FOR HIS GRACE AND MERCIES; 

SEEK FORGIVENESS OF SINS ... 

PRAY FOR NIGERIA, OUR YOUTHS, CIRCUIT AND LOCAL CHURCHES...

On the Prayer & Fasting Day 6:

Our prayers in the Diocese of Ikorodu took the form below in reflection of the conference week of prayer.

- Prayer for the Prelate, Dr. Samuel C. K. Uche: for sound health, untiring and irrepressible vigor for the work of the ministry.

- Pray that His Eminence will be given the distinctive Spirit of discernment to be able to administer the Church always to God's glory.

- For all our Archbishops, (Most Rev. Dr. Isaac A. Olawuyi - Archbishop of Lagos as a point of reference). 

- For all Bishops, (Rt. Rev. Samson O. Osundina - Bishop of Ikorodu as reference point) and all ministers of the Gospel in MCN (name as many as you can)

- Pray for the Conference Lay President - Sir Folu Aremu, KJW,

Archdiocesan Lay Presidents (Sir Peter Olorunifemi, KJW- Archdiocese of Lagos Lay President as point of reach) &

Diocesan Lay Presidents, (Sir David O. A. Sunmoni, KJW - Diocese of Ikorodu as a contact point to all others), 

Church Officers at every level for the Spirit of Excellence and fear of the Lord.

- Pray against every form of disunity in the Church.

- Pray for the fire of the Lord to be ignited on every altar in every Sanctuary of MCN all over the Conference Area, starting from your Local Church.

- That MCN should take her place in the fore-front of evangelism and discipleship in Nigeria.

- Lord, bless and prosper members of MCN in all their endeavors in righteousness, that financial challenges be wiped out from our Churches.

By the grace of God, Wednesday 8th January, will be the finale with personal prayer points.
